Navantia farewelled Australian Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment (AAOR) “Supply” this morning, as she left from Pier 9 of the Ferrol shipyard to begin her transit to Australia. The transit is expected to take approximately 35 days of navigation. The departure of “Supply” celebrated with a small ceremony taking place.

NUSHIP Supply, the lead ship for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN)’s Supply class Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment (AOR) ships sailed away today from Navantia’s Ferrol shipyard in Spain for Australia. NUSHIP Supply will arrive in Western Australia early October and will be based at HMAS Stirling where the installation and testing of the combat and communications systems, as well as some logistics areas will be completed by Australian industry.
