Testimonials
“I applied at Navantia to challenge myself to try something new. A recent graduate, my previous role was as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing plant, so it was a massive shift in my day-to-day environment, but the thought of working on projects involving Australia’s Naval fleet with some of the most advanced systems in the country was incredibly appealing to me. Being part of the Innovation Group has been a perfect fit for me and has allowed me to express creativity and outside-the-box thinking while also affording me opportunities to engage with the industry and get involved in aspects of the business that I never would’ve been exposed to otherwise.
Navantia Australia is a great place to work both in terms of the comfortable workplace culture, the strategic positioning of the business, and the way we are so rapidly expanding. I believe there is no better time to be a part of Navantia Australia – where else could you begin a career in a workplace with such a wealth of knowledge and experienced engineers to learn from, while also being surrounded by new starters just like yourself to share in the journey and build friendships with?”
“I have had a love for ships and large pieces of machinery ever since I was a kid, and after graduating as an Engineer, I found Navantia Australia a perfect place to apply the skills that I had learnt at university into something that I am genuinely passionate about. During the Graduate Program, I got to go on a sea trial onboard an LHD, and go on the AOR’s at Garden Island, as well as travelling to Hobart and Canberra to meet with our contractual partners to aid in the development of those important relationships.
I have learnt so much that I find it difficult to list. Working at Navantia has shown me just how broad the application of my engineering skillset can be, through various tasks requiring different aspects of engineering design. I think one of my favourite parts of working with Navantia Australia has been the people and the social aspect. I have made genuine friends working here, and we often find activities to do such as soccer during our lunchbreaks, or bouldering and hikes outside of office hours. If you are looking for a fun office culture, and looking for multifaceted, interesting, and often challenging work then Navantia Australia is definitely a company to consider.”
