Navantia Australia awarded International Safety & Environmental Certifications

Navantia Australia was recently awarded Occupational Health and Safety Certification (International Standard 45001) and Environmental Certification (International Standard 14001) after two years of system development.

The certification system is internationally recognised and is awarded by independent auditors from Det Norske Veritas (DVN).

Navantia Australia Managing Director, Mr Alfonso Garcia-Valdes said that achieving this certification gives confidence to Navantia Australia’s customers, employees and the wider community and are a significant achievement and independent recognition of the effort made by Navantia Australia to achieve a safe and environmentally friendly business.

“Navantia Australia has always taken very seriously workers’ health and safety and the environment, the ISO certification of both our systems is a huge step forward for the company and takes our understanding and commitment to the next level. I want to thank the Navantia Australia crew for their dedication to our certification efforts and most importantly maintaining a safe, healthy and environmentally sound workplace,” said Mr García-Valdés.

Other benefits of the ISO certifications include the ability to trade globally and comply with health, safety and the environment legal obligations in any country.
