Operating under the Design Support Contractor (DSC) contract, you role will be to support the delivery of combat systems integration projects and tasks for RAN ships. Responsibility includes the provision of engineering services, technical advice, investigations and solution development for the platform integration elements of the following (where applicable):

• Combat Management Systems and Sensors (e.g. Radars and surveillance systems, Tactical Data Links)

• Weapons and Sensor Systems (e.g. missile and gun systems, countermeasures, fire control systems, etc.)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high level of engineering technical competence based on relevant experience and knowledge.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide experience and broad technical knowledge of functional and detailed design related to the Outfitting design and Systems (equipment’s stowage/foundations, furniture, structural closures, metal joiner doors and bulkheads, deck coverings, false floors, false ceilings, linings, insulation, etc.) of a naval ship.
  • Work effectively within the broader Navantia Engineering Team by engaging and working with the different engineering disciplines.
  • Plan and coordinate engineering projects from concept through to delivery, including the development of project plans, schedule and engagement of internal and external stakeholders.

As the Outfitting Engineer, you will be responsible for working within the General Design and Outfitting division to deliver outfitting systems for naval ships. Systems responsibility include; compartment and equipment arrangement, lifting equipment, anchor systems, door closures, ladders and flooring systems.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide experience and broad technical knowledge of functional and detailed design related to the Outfitting and Accommodation Systems on naval ships.
