Richard McIlvaney

As the Chief Security Officer & Facilities Manager, Richard McIlvaney is responsible for ensuring that the commercial Security and Facilities requirements for Navantia Australia are catered for to allow for smooth operations across all the business units. As well as commercial aspects of the function, Richard also manages and is well versed in the client’s security needs to ensure continued success in Navantia Australia’s endeavours with Defence and other Industry partners.
Richard brings with him 30 years of knowledge and experience from Defence after having served in Australia’s armed forces as well continued experience in the field with the Australian Public Service and Defence Industry. Richard was deployed overseas on numerous occasions during his military career with the Australian Army and worked in varied headquarter environments on land and sea and is a 2003 Australia Day award recipient in the Distinguished Service category.
