Pablo Menéndez has over 15 years’ experience in shipbuilding related industrial activities, primarily focused in the shipbuilding management and defence business projects. He joined the Navantia Australia team in September 2021 as Chief Strategy Implementation Officer after successfully leading Navantia’s operations in Turkey since 2016.
As General Manager Turkey, Pablo was responsible for fostering and managing relationships with Navantia’s clients and local partners to establish Navantia as a trusted provider of products and services in country. He was also the Offsets Manager for the Turkish Navy’s Landing Helicopter Dock ‘Anadolu’ program and Resident Team Leader in the SEDEF Shipyard in Istanbul from 2016 for the construction process of the ship.
At the beginning of his career with Navantia, Pablo was actively involved in the F310 AEGIS Frigate project for Royal Navy of Norway from 2008 onwards. As Warranty Manager, Pablo sailed with the F312 Otto Sverdrup and F313 Helge Ingstad managing warranty issues with Ship Staff and OEMs. As Production Manager for all five (5) F310 AEGIS Frigates, Pablo was responsible for closing the contract and negotiating the Through Life Support (TLS) contract. He became the Senior Maintenance Manager in 2012 for the first year of the TLS contract.
Pablo holds Masters degrees in Science (Mechanical Engineering) and Occupational Health and Safety. He also holds qualifications as an Asset Management Level 3 Certified Practitioner.
