Mr Vilasanchez and Navantia Australia chairman Warren King signed a deed of transfer for the intellectual property. The transfer formalises Navantia S.A.’s designation of Navantia Australia as class manager for the Hobart Class in February 2018.

The signing of this contract completes the membership of the DDG Enterprise. The DDG Enterprise has been formed to provide a capability enhancing, value for money proposition for the Commonwealth of Australia. As a member of the Enterprise, Navantia Australia will work together with BAE Systems, the prime DDG Sustainment Contractor, combat system integrator, Raytheon Australia, and ship repairer, Thales Australia.

Navantia Australia is delighted to formally announce that Singapore will host the company’s first international office, in what will soon become its regional hub for Asia. The facility, opened on 27th April, is part of Navantia Australia’s export strategy which builds on its strong Australian capability to export naval capability to regional partners.
